My profile

Biography

I joined the Faculty of Education in 2008 after teaching and managing a range of
curriculum areas in several primary schools. Since joining the Faculty, I have
become responsible for the running of the primary Design and Technology
programmes on both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and contribute
to the teaching and management of the primary computing programmes.

I am also the Teaching and Learning Lead for the primary Year3 Tutor team and support the
year3 Student Experience Lead.

In 2012 I successfully completed my Masters in Education and I was involved in
a three year European funded research project developing primary engineering
with ten European partners.

I run CPD courses through STEM and I am the co-author of the book, ‘Primary Computing In Action’. I am currently writing ‘Primary Design & Technology In Action’, which will be published in September 2016.
