Biography

I began my professional career as a lecturer of German and CALL (Computer-Assisted Language Learning) after leaving Manchester University with a PhD in CALL and Second Language Acquisition. I worked at Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Canada as an Assistant Professor in German from 1998-2004, after which I move back to the UK to complete a PGCE degree in Modern Languages (German and French). After working in a secondary school as an MFL teacher, I joined MMU initially working as part of the Promethean Centre. In 2008 I then started as a Senior Lecturer in Education Students teaching on the BA Programme for Primary Education.
