Dr Geraldine McCusker

My research interests are in exploring the educational and learning experiences of adult students from marginalised groups. I am interested in how experiences of disability, poverty and gender impact and intersect in a learning/educational situation. I have an interest in examining how marginalised identities impact on life and learning experiences. I am interested in research that has a qualitative emphasis as she regards this as an empowering and critical research process. I am currently involved in working with a small number of learning/educational projects in community organisations that promote and enhance an inclusivity agenda.
