Biography

I’ve got a strong commitment to social justice and I’m a real ‘people-person’. I really enjoy singing and I love spending time with my dog. I’m also a bit of a telly addict - especially love watching soaps.

Why do I teach?

I teach because I want to be part of constructing a community that helps us all (me included) to think about things in a different way. I want to encourage students to ask questions about ‘the way things are’ and challenge them to develop their professional engagement with children’s agency and rights.

I want to build students’ understanding of how our lives are shaped by the way society is set up and organised as well as by the decisions that we make as individuals.

The heart of what I do comes from my commitment to building students’ confidence in their own unique skills, talents and contributions.
