Research outputs
My research interests include teachers’ capital and how this might be transmitted to students, professional doctoral students’ identity, and mathematics education.
My EdD thesis was titled, “Privileging entry to higher education: when capital counts”. Drawing on a Bourdieusian conceptual framework, the thesis examined how teachers’ social and cultural capital might advantage their students when they applied to elite universities. I researched the teachers’ capital and how this might be transmitted to students through a programme.
