Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer in Drama in Education and course co ordinator for Secondary PGCE Drama. I have an Honours Degree in Law, a PGCE in Drama and English, a Masters Degree in Performance Practice and a Doctorate in Education. In 2007 I received the UCETT/AACTE New Research Travel award and I have subsequently developed a strong international profile as an International Champion for the Faculty of Education. I have worked with teachers and practitioners in Hong Kong, Dubai and New York and in many European countries. I have worked as an artisit in residence, workshop leader and project leader with Erasmus Plus projects. My research interests are underpinned by theories related to New Materialism and embodied learning with a focus on practice as reseach methodologies.
