Biography

Dr Triece Turnbull is a HCPC registered Practitioner Health Psychologist who has worked with policy makers, health professionals and commercial companies to improve the provision of sexual healthcare in the UK.  Triece’s research uses mixed-methods and their application to sexual health and health psychology, in particular behaviour change interventions. Her other interests are in sex education which have included delivering sex and relationship education in schools, training teachers, communicating sexual matters with parents and working with various healthcare professionals so they can provide the sexual health information that young people need to be able to make informed choices over their personal relationships and sexual behaviour. Triece joined MMU is 2017 and since then has been unit Lead for the Health and Psychological Interventions unit. She is also the Consultancy Lead for the department of Psychology at MMU whereby she delivers bespoke training to NHS Healthcare Professionals.

Interests and expertise

Triece’s main interests include various aspects of health with a particular expertise is sex education/sexual health and behaviour change interventions 

Teaching

Triece has been teaching for over 15 years with a particular interest in Health Psychology and teaching Research Methods to undergraduate and postgraduate students

Supervision

Triece has supervised numerous student dissertations during her time in academia and has 9 successful doctorate level completions
