Biography

Dr Ernest Nnadi is currently Senior Lecturer in Occupational Safety, Health & Environment at Manchester Metropolitan University. He was Lecturer in Quality, Health & Safety and Environment at Coventry University, where he taught and supervised undergraduate & postgraduate students in various modules related to environmental science and engineering, water and wastewater management, sustainability, and renewable energy, health & safety, HSE management system, Quality Management System. Also, he was Link Tutor - Ghana Communication Technology University - GCTU and Module Leader of various modules in Health & Safety, Oil & Gas management, Sustainability & Environmental Management. He was nominated IOSH member and Course Coordinator & Tutor of IOSH Managing Safely in Oil & Gas and Energy Industry.  Previously, Dr Nnadi was Research Associate in Geo-Environmental Engineering in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace & Civil Engineering (MACE) at The University of Manchester and Lecturer in Physical Sciences at The University of Brighton College. He was also Research Assistant,  Lecturer and Supervisor in department of Geography, Environment & Disaster Management (GED), Coventry University, Lecturer School of Energy, Construction & Environment, Research Associate and Honorary Research Fellow  at Centre for Agroecology, Water & Resilience (CAWR), Coventry University, and Research Partner - Construction Technology Research Group (GITECO), University of Cantabria and other international institutions, where he collaborated on applied research projects for industry and academia, He is currently a Research Collaborator -Forest Hydrology & Watershed Management Recovery of Degraded Areas (Hidrolef), Universidade Federal de São Carlos, Brazil, Ebonyi State University, Nigeria and African Centre of Excellence for Public Health and Toxicological Research (ACE-PUTOR), University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Also, Dr Nnadi has worked and collaborated on several innovative, applied research & development projects e.g., UNDP, SEL, EPG. He was a Consultant to Henrich Böll Stiftung (HBS) - Flood Resilient Buildings and Environmental Design & Sustainable Drainage Systems project & Research Manager Smartsource Drainage & Water UK. Dr Nnadi is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of EPSRC Review College and grant review panel member (EPSRC). He holds a PhD and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Galileo Master Certificates in Renewable Energy Management & Finance and Renewable Energy Solutions, Agile Scrum Master, and Certified Business Analysis Professional certifications.  Also, he holds NEBOSH Health & Safety qualifications, IOSH-managing Safely in Oil, Gas & Energy industry, IOSH and International Institute of Risk & Safety Management memberships. He has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, books and has made numerous contributions to his field of study.
