About my career

My first role after graduation was as a Data Analyst. I secured this role by using the skills that I learnt studying Business Analytics at Manchester Metropolitan University. Then I went on to be a Senior Data Analyst at The Hut Group (THG), my role was to analyse large data sets and deliver the outcomes to the stakeholders by creating dashboards and reports. Now I am a Senior Analyst at Bupa. My role is to deal with external clients of Bupa by using statistical models and machine learning algorithms. I develop a data mining process that will help to define new trends and generate dashboards and new reports for the client .

The skills that I gained at Manchester Met came by using a lot of applications such as Power BI and Tableau. I also studied heavily on the concept of Blockchain Technology in Industry 4.0 and I have been investing in cryptocurrency since I completed my studies.

I believe that the placements offered at Manchester Met are great experiences and they are very important as they allow you to improve your research skills and knowledge.

My top tip for students

Studying gives you many ideas and knowledge.  Also, I would recommend that current students follow the economic trends that show you which areas in the economy will rise in the future, for example Blockchain, AI, Robotics, Spacetech etc.
