About me

About my career

Manchester Metropolitan has partnered with HKU SPACE to conduct a legal programme, “Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law (Common Professional Examination)”, on a part-time basis in the Hong Kong SAR. I decided this would be a brilliant opportunity to take my first step to become a legal professional.

After graduating with the LLB from Manchester Met, I proceeded to study for a PCLL at the University of Hong Kong. The PCLL is a mandatory post-graduate programme to obtain a legal qualification in the Hong Kong SAR.

I am now a practising barrister in the Hong Kong SAR and have broad practice across civil litigation, in particular areas relating to land, commercial disputes and personal injuries.

Besides being a barrister, I am also a Certified Public Accountant in the Hong Kong SAR. After attaining the Barrister Practise Certificate in the Hong Kong SAR, I took further steps and attained the Membership of CiArb, and completed all required assessments to become an Accredited Mediator in the Hong Kong SAR.

My top tip for students

Stay humble. Apply common sense. Do your research. Be fully prepared. These are qualities highly valued by employers and clients anytime.

I’m inspired by

I am inspired by the alumni connections in Manchester Met, in particular the GDL programme taught in the Hong Kong SAR. They are very supportive emotionally, and willing to share with us examination skills, these were all needed when I was still a student of Manchester Metropolitan.

Why I love Manchester Met

Manchester Met was very considerate to part-time students in the Hong Kong SAR. I appreciated the revision classes arranged by the programme which were really helpful for students to prepare for their exams.
