Manchester Metropolitan University signs Memorandum of Understanding with Ningbo University, China

The signing of the MOU took place during the recent NBU delegation visit to the University, which was led by the NBU President Prof Shen Manhong.

We are pleased to announce that Manchester Metropolitan University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ningbo University (NBU), China to explore opportunities for collaboration in areas such as the development of student and staff exchanges, and the development of articulation routes for NBU students to enrol in University’s postgraduate degree programmes, in particular those offered by the Faculty of Business and Law

Established in 1986, NBU, is a comprehensive Chinese university ranked 76th in China in Shanghai University Ranking System and is one of “211” universities, the most prestigious ranking in China. Comprising 19 faculties and colleges, NBU offers 72 UG and over 165 PG programmes. It enrols 47,200 (4452 PG students) while its international student population reached 1,000 in 2012. NBU’s teaching staff of over 1400 includes 278 full and 536 associate professors. NBU’s short-term goal is to shift to a more research-orientated university. 

The Faculty of Business and Law welcomes this new opportunity, and we are looking forward to working with our colleagues in NBU.
