Work-ready graduates victorious!

Financial partnership helps employability

MMU Business School has enhanced its reputation as the leading provider of education in Financial Planning.

Students from the School have won the Institute of Financial Planning University Team Challenge sponsored by Seven Investment Management and will travel to the London Stock Exchange to claim their prize.

The Challenge was open to seven universities who specialise in financial education and involved teams of 3 or 4 students presenting a financial plan to a panel of financial professionals.

Both finalists were from MMU and the judges felt that the standards were ‘extremely professional’.

MMU has won the Challenge for the past three years.

Work-ready graduates

Oliver Princep, Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at MMUBS, said: “The annual challenge complements our objective to develop and sustain a world-class professional base for financial advice in the UK. Again our students have proved their employability.”

Manchester Metropolitan University was the first university to team up with the Institute of Financial Planning to offer a professional qualification to fast-track skills of students undertaking the Financial Services honours degree course.
