ENTREPRENURIAL students scooped a haul of prizes for their enterprising abilities and creative companies.
The Business School hosted undergraduate teams as they competed in the regional finals of the Young Enterprise (YE) competition.
Two teams from MMU battled against universities from across the region, picking up the Most Commercial Product, Best Stand and Technology Award against fierce competition.
More than 1,000 North West students have taken part in the scheme since September 2014 before it was whittled down to just 15 student companies.
David Taylor, principal lecturer in entrepreneurship, said: “We’re committed at MMU to develop graduates to become enterprising entrepreneurs.
“Our commitment to entrepreneurism enhances our students’ employability,while the YE programme gives them a insight into companies and allows them to apply their studies to real-life scenarios."
Andy Firr, YE Start Up Manager, said: “Students tell us that YE gives them the opportunity to set up their own business, develops their employability skills and resilience, and improves their job prospects. “
The MMU representatives were students of ICE and their businesses were 'Honest Water' and 'The Baby Brand'. 'Honest Water' won the Young Enterprise Most Commercial Product Award. 'The Baby Brand' won both the John Lewis Best Stand Award and the Barclays Technology Award.
