International Business Conference comes to MMU

MANCHESTER Metropolitan University is set to hold the largest International Business Conference held in the UK to date.

The conference will play host to 200 delegates from the Academy of International Business, culminating in a dinner at Manchester Town Hall with the Lord Mayor Councillor Susan Cooley.

Keynote speakers include the Senior Economist of the OECD and Director General of the German British Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Prof Heinz Tuselmann, conference chair and MMU Professor of Management, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be hosting the 42nd and the largest International Business Conference held in the UK.

Global attraction

“The award of the conference to the University followed a competitive bidding process reflecting the external recognition and standing of International Business research at MMU.

“It is an extremely prestigious event and, apart for leading scholars from around the world, it has attracted policy-makers and managers of multinational companies, international and non-governmental organisations.”

The Conference, ‘International Business Research: for the bookshelf or the boardroom and corridors of power?’, is supported by Visit Manchester of Marketing Manchester, which has also provided sponsorship.

It runs from April 16 to 18. For more information, log on to: www.business.mmu.ac.uk/aibuki2015/.
