What is volunteering?

Volunteering is an unpaid activity with a charity or not-for-profit organisation which aims to benefit the environment, individuals or groups. This includes one-off and short-term opportunities as well as longer-term commitments, depending on the organisation and the specific role you choose.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering can benefit you as much as the cause you choose to help. It enables you to develop skills that complement your degree, enhance your employability, improve your self-confidence and support the local community. Volunteering is a great way to gain valuable experience and skills that will enrich your CV, helping you to impress employers and get you started in your chosen career
