Biography
Dr. Alex Akinbi is a Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security at Manchester Metropolitan University. He has served for several years in academic positions and worked with leading industry players in Cyber Security. He has a long history of working in different areas of computer forensics and security as a security researcher, ethical hacker, security consultant, and professional trainer.
He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and his teaching experience and research cover a comprehensive and practical understanding of Cyber Security issues and solutions. He has also served as a Senior Lecturer in Computer Security & Digital Forensics at Liverpool John Moores University, UK, and previously as a Lecturer in Cyber Security & Digital Forensics at the University of Salford, UK.
Alex holds a Ph.D. in Computer Security from Edge Hill University, a master’s degree in Information Security and IT Management, and an Offensive SecurityCertified Professional (OSCP) qualification. Alex’s research interests include Mobile, IoT, Cloud Forensics and Security, Cyber Security and Vulnerability Research, Reverse Engineering, and Exploit Development where he has contributed several journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters.
