My profile
Biography
I’m a researcher interested in using natural language processing to tap into the potential of self-published materials related to secure software engineering, and ultimately providing tooling to help others do the same. Additionally, I’m keen to explore how my research could be applied in related areas (e.g., responsible AI). Alongside my research, I frequently work with organisations and individuals to help them build their advanced digital skills.
Previously, I have worked as a Software Developer in industry and led technical teams as a part of the ERDF Greater Manchester Cyber and AI Foundry projects.
Projects
I have been a principal investigator on the following projects:
- Mapping cyber-enabled roles to CyBOK knowledge areas through cooperative inquiry, Resources For Outreach (cybok.org)
I’ve also helped to deliver the following projects:
- Greater Manchester AI Foundry, Greater Manchester AI | Greater Business. Greater Security. Greater Manchester (gmaifoundry.ac.uk)
- Greater Manchester Cyber Foundry, Greater Manchester Cyber Foundry | Greater Business. Greater Security. Greater Manchester (gmcyberfoundry.ac.uk)
Teaching
I am currently involved in the design and delivery of the following modules:
- Secure System Development (Unit lead)
- Synoptic Project (Tutor)
