Become a Secondary Teacher

Our one year full time Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) courses include Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and 60 Masters level credits.

Secondary Teacher Education

We have over 100 years’ experience training teachers and have a regional, national and international reputation for success. We are now based in the Brooks building, found in the impressive £139 million development in Hulme, Manchester.

We offer over 20 specialisms, with a choice of University, School-led or Assessment only routes to QTS.

To apply you will need:

  • A minimum 2:2 honours degree* with at least 50% relevant content to the subject you wish to teach
  • GCSEs in English Language and Mathematics at grade C or above
