I am the Pathway Leader for BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Technology: Womenswear at Manchester Metropolitan University.
My teaching focuses on research and conceptualisation, drawing, design process and design identity.
I am a Senior Lecturer on BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University.
I am a practicing designer based in Manchester, a place which has proved to constantly inspire my work and thought process. My work features a sustainable and artisanal approach to textile processes, with a focus on experimental textile manipulation, printing techniques and embellishments. My work has been exhibited internationally in Tokyo, Beijing, Sao Paulo, London and Manchester.
My approach to image making through documentary photography and collage explores themes of identity, narrative and memory.
My role at the Manchester Fashion Institute includes the fashion curation of editorial shoots, exhibitions, fashion shows and other outward facing events.
I graduated from BA (Hons) Fashion at Manchester School of Art and continued my studies on the MA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins, London.
Prior to undertaking my current role I have worked in higher education teaching fashion design as an associate lecturer at Manchester Met and The University of Salford.
In 2014 I delivered a design project in China to final year students at Zhongyuan University of Technology.
BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Technology has reputation for providing high quality fashion education. Through a pathway structure, students are able to specialise in menswear, sportswear or womenswear and develop expertise in their chosen areas.
The emphasis on creative experimentation and the pursuit of an individual design vision combined with technical industry literacy, confident application of traditional and emerging material and manufacturing technologies and business awareness, make the course and its graduates distinctive.

In 2016 I collaborated with colleague Jasper Chadprajong, creating a sustainable unisex collection made from discarded textiles. This collection was showcased at the IFFTI conference 2016 in Beijing.

For spring/summer 2015 I collaborated with Brazilian shoe company Melissa, designing a collection that was showcased at Sao Paulo Fashion Week.
