I teach Politics – that is mostly about how human beings react to each other and how they try to shape their world. Learning about politics is learning about people and how they use their capacities – for good or for evil.
Currently I am interested in African politics and government, although I retain an interest in EU politics and in UK politics.
Three Words to Describe Me: Enquiring; Obsessive; Hopeful.
In my spare time, I like to read. I also run and I play with my grandchildren. I enjoy crosswords and Sudokus as well.
I do not teach; I learn – and I try to share that learning. I try to create an atmosphere of mutual respect, both for the subject and for those that are studying it.
Politics is a very practical subject – you will learn what your world is about and what you can do to shape it.

Humanities, as the name suggests, is about being human. We explore the relationships, activities and pleasures that are primarily part of the human experience alone. Without humanities, our world would be psychologically and spiritually experienced in black, white and shades of grey. Humanities is about colour and it is about depth.
