"I gained the ability to manage my time effectively, to think critically and express myself coherently."
What is your current role and what are your main responsibilities?

I am currently a Client Relationship Executive and I am mainly responsible for maintaining the infrastructure required to manage a Key Account Programme within a Top 20 law firm; working alongside Client Relationship Managers, Head of Client Relationship Management and the Client Development Director. I focus primarily on financial services and insurance clients and act as the first point of contact for DWF's Top 40 clients. I am also a member of the Junior International Group, which focuses on expanding our reach across the globe.

What did you enjoy most about your degree and why?

I enjoyed the variety; one day you were discussing Holodomor and the next, The Crusades. Our individual preferences as history students were catered for, which not only made the degree far more interesting but also resulted in graduating with a wealth of knowledge spanning across numerous countries and centuries. I particularly enjoyed the 'American Ordeal – a study of the American Civil War', this certainly made an impact on my social and political views and has shaped my understanding of the nature of the modern United States.

What key skills did your degree help you gain?

I gained the ability to manage my time effectively, to think critically and express myself coherently. It also gave me an appreciation of cultures different to our own and most importantly to listen and process other individuals points of view.
