We work successfully in partnership with institutions and sponsors across the globe, actively building networks to reach new students and to provide invaluable opportunities for our graduates. With dedicated teams within each department working hard to increase employment opportunities and develop employability skills, our courses have consistently high rates of graduate employment with over 90% finding work in the 6 months after graduation.
Employers are increasingly looking for informed graduates, with the kind of independent and flexible thinking skills that are encouraged throughout our programmes. They want graduates who are skilled, confident and prepared to work on their own initiative, taking pride in and responsibility for their actions.
Our graduates are highly desirable in the employment market and our aim is not only to equip you with the necessary academic knowledge and skills in order to meet professional capability standards, but to develop your leadership, decision making and independent thinking skills in order to make you attractive to potential employers.
We have a series of dedicated placement teams and employability tutors across the faculty. Academics who have additional responsibility to develop networks, relationships with practice and increase opportunities for our graduates.
More about practice placements
All of our students are supported by the Careers and Employability service, which provides advice and guidance, links to local and national employers, and workshops on how to improve your skills or apply your skills to the world of work. All of our projects and opportunities are linked into the University wide employability programme, Futures Skills Award.
