Why Manchester Met

I chose to study my postgraduate course because of my interest in international human rights law, an area of law I wish to specialise in. Postgraduate study in this area offers a platform to play a part in the development of law in my chosen route.

I chose Manchester Met to study my course because in addition to the quality of academic delivery, which I learned through my interactions with former students, I found the university gives students the opportunity to choose a specialist route for the LLM.

My favourite thing about studying in Manchester is the city life which offers variety and is exciting. I would recommend Manchester Met due to the quality of education the university offers, plus the numerous extracurricular activities available.

Getting involved with pro bono

The university give students the opportunity to take part in some pro bono services and build work experience during the course. I have made a few pro bono applications and have recently been shortlisted for an interview with the Greater Manchester Law Centre.

Support

I have received support from the Careers and Employability Team. They have been helpful in regard to boosting employability by writing a good CV. I also find my tutors very knowledgeable and supportive. They go out of their way to respond to every need, making students feel comfortable to approach them.
