Why did you choose to complete a postgraduate degree at Manchester Met?

I decided to pursue a postgraduate degree in Business Analytics to expand my knowledge in the subject, develop new skills and increase my employability prospects in the future. I chose Manchester Met for my postgraduate studies mainly because the business school holds a triple-accredited status that offers a more practical approach to learning and diverse learning culture.

How do you think studying your postgraduate course will benefit you and your career prospects?

Studying a postgraduate course has benefited me and my career prospects primarily because my postgraduate experience has allowed me to blossom intellectually. I have been exposed to a wide range of subjects that have enabled me to develop new skills and strengthen those I already have.

On you course, what opportunities did you have gain experience working with industry?

The course gives students the chance to engage with employees and experts at various levels through live briefs and internship experiences offered by the career services. I took part in many RISE intensives and activities and internship experiences. These helped me develop confidence in my postgraduate subjects.

Out of the skills you’ve developed at University, what do you think will be most beneficial in your career?

Working in teams for group projects and presentations enabled me to strengthen my problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills, all of which I think will be most beneficial in your career.

What have you enjoyed most about your postgraduate studies?

I have enjoyed learning and working with a diverse and well-rounded group of people who bring a variety of different strengths, ideas and talents to the table.
