A new cross faculty research group concerning the issues of substance use, addictive behaviour and recovery launches with a free one day conference on Tuesday April 7th 2015 at our new Birley Building in Hulme, Manchester.
Entitled 'Substance use: applying research to practice', it will offer a series of presentations from group members, community partners and associates, and a keynote address from Professor Alex Copello, Professor in Addiction Research and Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Birmingham.
The conference will also offer an exciting chance to experience community research in action, with the amazing VoiceBox Inc installation presented in partnership with the Greater Manchester Recovery Federation.
There will be an opportunity to meet group members, view a range of poster presentations of our work, network with colleagues within and outside MMU, and share your research or research interests.
