University Preparation Courses for Undergraduate study

You may choose to study for your foundation year at our partner international study centre INTO Manchester. This route offers foundation year courses for Business and Humanities and Science and Engineering degrees, and are designed to help international students gradually adjust to studying and living in the UK while gaining the necessary qualifications for entry onto their chosen undergraduate degree programme with us. You will be able to study alongside other international students, and on successful completion of your course you will be well prepared to enter into Higher Education at Manchester Metropolitan University. International Year One in Business

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the relevant skills required for the study of Business. On successful completion of this pathway you will enter onto the second year of a Business, or related bachelor’s degree at Manchester Metropolitan University. The course is structured through a series of modules and your progress is monitored by continuous assessment of coursework, and by the use of class tests. Your study on this programme will typically include the following topics or similar (subject to change):

University Preparation Courses for Postgraduate study

The Pre-Masters Programme will prepare you for your Master’s degree by developing your study methods and academic English. Successful completion of this pathway will give you the opportunity to apply to the wide range of postgraduate courses available at Manchester Metropolitan University. You will be provided with the essential skills you need to ensure a seamless progression onto your final chosen course. Assessment of your English language and communication skills on this programme will be both formal and informal and will include written assignments, oral presentations, interview and written examinations.

There are two options when choosing your pathway on the Pre-Masters Programme programme, depending on your qualifications, English language level and work experience. The routes available are as follows:

Route A

This route is modular and completed over three terms. Topics covered include:
