Please note: When you pay for the course you will receive an automated receipt with a Man Met Order number (please quote this in any enquiries). The Language Centre office will send you joining instructions (room information) prior to the course starting. 


The course is designed to prepare students for IELTS (International English Language Testing System). You may need to take this exam for further studies (Academic IELTS) or for immigration purposes (General IELTS). This course will cover both types of IELTS exam and look at the four components: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. During the course, your tutor will raise your awareness of what is involved in the exam, help you to practise IELTS-type questions, and build your confidence in English. Mock exams will also be delivered during the course, giving you chance to evaluate your level.


At least pre-intermediate (A2) level in English, aiming towards at least IELTS 5.0 (overall).

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to: 

  • know the structure and different components of the IELTS exam.
  • identify your strengths and weaknesses for the IELTS exam.
  • understand the common IELTS questions and exam rubric.
