Global connections

Manchester Law School has over 20 years of collaboration with HKU SPACE (The University of Hong Kong)

Manchester Law School and the School of Professional and Continuing Education at The University of Hong Kong (HKU SPACE).

Our collaboration began in 1992 when the Common Professional Examination (CPE) was debuted at HKU SPACE. Two years later we introduced our LLB course there, forging a true collaboration between institutions. Students benefit from our educational collaboration as it allows them to ‘dual qualify’, therefore our HK Space students can go on to practice law in either Hong Kong or the UK after they have graduated.

Over the two decades that Manchester Law School and HKU SPACE have worked together, we have produced nearly 5000 graduates. Many of these graduates have gone on to have very successful careers in law, now working as partners in large firms, barristers in chambers and High Court judges. Graduates have also used their training, skills and knowledge to follow careers in the police, government and industry, achieving senior positions in all three spheres.
