The Manchester Centre for Law in Society has been created to act as a focal point for legal research at Manchester Metropolitan University.

It will support the creation and dissemination of internationally excellent research that supports the development of the regional, national and international communities in which it is located.

MCLS draws together researchers from different research traditions working across a diverse range of subject areas including discrimination and equality, body image, families, European and international law, professional practice and sports. Working closely with the Sylvia Pankhurst Centre for Gender Research, it will promote the legal research of Manchester Law School and the Faculty of Business and Law.
