Your Met Card

The Met Card scheme is being phased out over the 23/24 academic year and new Met Cards will no longer be issued to students or staff members. This year the Student Support Package (SSP) will be transferred directly to your personal bank account rather than the Met Card.

From Wednesday 10 April, we will be removing the ability to top-up your Met Card. Instead of using the Met Card to top up your Papercut account for printing, you can top it up using a debit or credit card. This eliminates the need for the Met Card and continues to provide a seamless experience.

The Met Card will remain a valid payment method across campus and with our agreed partners, therefore, please ensure you continue to spend any remaining funds throughout this academic year. If your Met Card is lost or stolen, please report this as soon as possible by logging into your account. We will contact you via your Manchester Met email address regarding a replacement card. If you have further questions please refer to the FAQs or reach out to the Met Card team at help.metcard@mmu.ac.uk.

Met Card has your name, student number and photo on the front of it. On the back is your 16-digit Met Card number and an eight digit personal identification number.
