Live performance from the spectacular GLAMOGOTH, featuring John Hyatt.

Glamogoth is a visual feast and a breath of fresh air on the ear. Proclaiming “Death
to boring rock ‘n’ roll”, Glamogoth is a new band made up of experienced musicians
with a respected rock lineage. Playing a fusion of Glam and Goth, Glamogoth
provides a sound never experienced before and perform a show not to be missed.

Pete Hall (drummer), has a strong interest in sound generating forms
whether this is through the use of conventional instruments or everyday items and
sounds not usually associated with music. Previous bands have included Anglo
Asian Indie band Cornershop, 1980’s industrial noise merchants Legion, Preston
based improvisation band Aardvark and the Winking Cat Band, Punk improvisation
band P J Hayes Love Orchestra and Derbyshire based alternative rock band Brain
Camera.

Bob Heath (bass/sax) and Alastair Price (guitar/voice) were legendary John Peel’s
favourite Preston band, Dwarf Americans, who played a loud mouthed mish mash of
rap/punk, psychedelic/funk with the likes of The Fall and Chumbawamba. They
opened the Preston Guild '92 compilation album with 30 seconds of post-industrial
sax squall and guitar feedback. Alastair returns from France, where he has been
writing songs and making several albums with variously Dynamos, Novela, and The
Otto Show, and working with the reclusive Pyjaman. Bob has been soaking up
hidden sounds in Europe and Africa whilst continuing to polish his skills as a
improvising musician and learning to make beautiful noises with his saxophone.

Emrys Morgan (guitar and vocals) is a notorious performance artist. His most
controversial exhibition was when he made himself into a chocolate crucifixion scene
and melted slowly from the cross onto the gallery floor under the spotlights.

John Hyatt (vocals, guitar, violin) musically is best known as the lead
singer/songwriter with another Peel favourite, The Three Johns.

Together they create an awesome and exciting new sound. No boring rock possible
with this mix. Together they become Glamogoth and they sparkle with a dark
glamour.
