More reasons to study Engineering at Manchester Met
School wins European quality mark
STUDENTS of Engineering now have another reason to pursue their BEng or Masters at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The University’s Department of Engineering has become certified with the EUR-ACE® European quality label for engineering degree programmes.
The EUR-ACE® label offers benefits to universities, students, graduates and employers including assurance that a graduate’s knowledge, understanding and practical capabilities meet international standards.
For graduates, it means they will have fulfilled the academic part of IEng or CEng recognition, and on completion of further professional competences in the workplace, chartered status enables them to practise engineering in any of the EU member states.
One of five
Manchester Metropolitan University is one of only five UK institutions including Cambridge to have gained the prestigious certification.
Dean of Faculty Professor Pete Dunleavy said: “This is more great news for Engineering and I congratulate Joao Ponciano and his School colleagues.”
The certification applies to six BEng programmes and three Masters.
