About us

At the forefront of nursing

The School of Nursing and Public Health is home to a diverse range of experts who have all been practising nurses, health visitors or emergency practitioners within their careers.

Alongside their academic duties, a number of our staff continue to work in practice, ensuring that the academic skills they teach are real, relevant and up-to-date with current NHS standards.

We’re ranked 4th in UK for nursing (The Guardian University Guide 2022) and we are home to award-winning staff, honoured for their contributions towards equality, diversity and inclusion.

The school also holds strong partnerships with local NHS Trusts, providing students with access to quality practice placements.

Our amazing School of Nursing and Public Health at Manchester Met is committed to providing an excellent student experience. Ranked at 11th in the country, students are taught by award-winning teachers and staff who are conducting world-leading research.
