Research is based at our Cheshire campus and close collaborations with Manchester Met’s Sport and Exercise Science Department and Health Research Network, enables researchers to have exclusive access to key research populations.
Musculoskeletal Science and Sports Medicine is currently placed in the Health, Exercise and Active Living Research Centre where interdisciplinarity is pivotal to the research approach. Biomechanists and physiologists collaborate on projects including lifestyle interventions and Health Apps. Physiologists work alongside psychologists to determine markers of healthy ageing, whilst our Motor Cognition researchers collaborate with clinicians to develop rehabilitation interventions.
Check if you meet our standard university entrance requirements for research degrees. For details on applying see our project adverts below. You will also find it helpful to consult the fees and funding page for potential Home/EU and Overseas students.
