Business School PhD student from Saudi Arabia
This is my fourth year at Manchester Met, and I can truly say that I find everyone here helpful, supportive and friendly. I have studied in different departments but have always felt that I am part of the organisation.
The environment is absolutely fantastic. New high-tech buildings, spacious and colourful classrooms, varied study areas, a four floor library and super friendly staff.
In terms of location, all I can say is that everything is within walking distance - shops, hotels, restaurants, theatres, and my favourite: All Saints park.
"Manchester is such a beautiful city – I like to call it the city of all-in-one. You can’t be bored in Manchester!"
I came here speaking limited English and studied hard on a pre-sessional course to improve it. I then went on to do an MSc in Project Management. I learned a lot as the course was intensive, rigorous, and interesting. Now I am studying for my PhD. It was my dream to finish my Master's degree, but I realised after I finished that my dream was bigger and that I wanted to start doing research. So I am now researching organisational behaviour, and I feel very comfortable in the research environment.
There is always support available from my experienced supervisors. The mix between knowledge and practice, and the student experience at Manchester Met makes it a unique university. I am happy and proud to be here!
