We have an outstanding record of achievement in our teaching programmes, links between research activities and teaching, and in the high quality of learning experiences provided for our students. The recent investment in state-of-the-art teaching facilities, including lecture theatres and science and computing laboratories, has further enhanced the learning experience of our students.
The faculty recruits from a wide mix of social backgrounds and ethnic origin, enriching the learning and social experience it provides. Learning and teaching sessions developed to support our postgraduate students are integrated into the faculty's graduate support programme.
The Faculty of Science and Engineering's Learning and Teaching Strategy is enhancement driven, and puts the student experience at the centre of strategic developments. It is aligned with the University's strategy that is focused on six core principles.
We continue to respond to the student voice, striving to improve student choice and access and develop greater flexibility of programme delivery at all levels.
Staff in the faculty are dedicated to enhancing and developing all aspects of learning and teaching, and are working together to innovate and share good practices, whilst delivering strategic projects and targeted activities.
