With the academic ceremony complete, there was still one more winner to announce - the Star Baker of the Department of Computing and Mathematics Annual Bake-Off! This year saw some incredible entries, with lemon slices from Nick Whittaker, cheesecake from Keeley Crockett and a classic Victoria sponge from Jon Shiach all receiving honorable mentions. The clear star this year however, was Programme Support Tutor, Amna Eleyan, who baked not only the winning entry of cheese and thyme pastries, but enough additional cakes and bakes to feed the entire department! Many congratulations to a well deserved Star Baker!

All in all, this event was a great success and we were delighted to see so many staff and students attending to share their successes and celebrate our wonderful department community. Well done to our outstanding students and thank you to all of our bakers, origami makers, and enthusiastic attendees.
