There are excellent rail connections to major towns and cities all over the UK. Manchester Piccadilly is one of three main stations in Manchester [Oxford Road being the closest to the University] with direct trains to/from London every 20 minutes, with a journey time of just over two hours.
Manchester Piccadilly station is 1.2 miles from the conference centre; whilst Oxford Road station is 0.8 miles (15-minute walk).

Arriving into the city several buses cross the city centre and stop at the University.
From Piccadilly Gardens, the following buses travel down Oxford Road – 42, 43, 141, 142, 143.
From Piccadilly Station, Fairfield Street the Oxford Road Link bus number 147 will stop outside the University on Oxford Road.
Frequency, every 10 minutes. A single ticket is approx. £1.00 (purchase your ticket from the driver; ensure you have change).
