The Sociology department is launching a new initiative in Peer Mentoring. Students will have the opportunity to meet with their peers who have been fully trained to help with any questions and problems that students may have.

To help students meet and get to know their peer mentors the mentors will be delivering sessions on specific topics that have been identified as beneficial to new students. Essentially these sessions are ran by the people that have just been through the same experience and have local knowledge that is essential for new students. They will also be using the new platform Ning to answer any questions that students may have before they get to MMU and get involved with the online forums.

This is an exciting new initiative which we hope will help all our new students settle in.
