Film Screening, 'Sightseers' (Gothic Manchester Festival)

Location: 70 Oxford St - 70 Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 5NH

FREE screening of 'Sightseers' presented by Dr Sorcha Ní Fhlainn with EXCLUSIVE video intro from writer/stars Alice Lowe and Steve Oram.

Sightseers is director Ben Wheatley's third feature film. Ben Wheatley's films are famous for their satirical, grim humour and Sightseers is no different.  It tells the story of a couple who go on a camping trip which goes horribly wrong. Comedies don't get much darker than this.

Her background is in History, Politics and American Studies and consequently her work is largely rooted in socio-cultural, historical and Marxist approaches to Film Studies, Cultural Studies, Popular and Contemporary American Literature and Popular Cinema.
