I am a senior lecturer in Mechanical Engineering. I joined the Department of Engineering at the Manchester Metropolitan University in September, 2012. I am a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
I am also a visiting researcher at the Institute of Design, Robotics and Optimisation, School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Leeds.
From 2006 to 2012, I was a Research Fellow in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds.
My research centres on industrial engineering and operations management. In the past ten years, I led collaborative research projects with industrial partners such as ABB Limited, Rolls-Royce Plc, BAE Systems and Age UK.
I am recipient of the Professional Engineering Publishing best paper award (2008) from the IMechE.
