Biography

I am a Lecturer in Publishing here at Man Met, teaching on various programmes across the English Department at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. 

I have worked in book publishing for over a decade, including roles at Saqi Books, Telegram, and Haus Publishing. I was previously Manager at Comma Press  a Manchester-based radical independent publisher  where I coordinated the Northern Fiction Alliance and led various sector support initiatives designed to improve access to the creative industries. I am the co-founder of Manchester-in-Translation and Editor of various anthologies of international literature, including All Walls Collapse: Stories of Separation (English PEN), Europa28: Writing by Women on the Future of Europe (Hay Festival) and Banthology: Stories from Unwanted Nations. I have an interest in literature in translation and human rights, and am also Placements Lead for the English Department.
