Introduction

Occupational therapy helps people live their best life – at home, at work and everywhere else.

It’s about helping people to do the things they need, want and have to do. That could mean helping them overcome challenges playing sports, learning at school, going to work or simply doing the dishes.

As an occupational therapist, you’ll use your creativity and problem-solving skills to support people who find some areas of life difficult. That means talking to them to understand their needs, seeing challenges through their eyes, and helping them find ways to overcome those challenges.

Are you looking to take your first step to becoming an occupational therapist?

Our evidence-based course will help you develop the skills essential for your career.  This includes spending time on placement with occupational therapists working with people of different ages and in a variety of health and social care environments.

You’ll be supported by a teaching staff of registered occupational therapists – with experience in education, practice and research – as well as other health and social care professionals.

Once you have completed the course, you’ll be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)* and practice as an occupational therapist.
