Manchester Metropolitan University

Students' Union

The Union is one of the largest student organisations in the UK, representing the rights and interests of all of our 36,000 students.

When you enrol at the University you automatically become a member of the Students’ Union and have access to a range of services and facilities.

The Union adds an extra dimension to your student experience by providing exciting social, cultural and sporting activities. With over 150 different sports clubs and societies across the Manchester and Cheshire campuses there’s something for everyone.

The Union also provides comprehensive support with student welfare, advice and information. It has one of the leading Advice Centres in the country, offering free and confidential advice on critical issues such as funding and personal finance, academic disputes and accommodation. They help literally thousands of students with a wide range of issues.

Our brand new Union in the heart of our Manchester campus, The Union is home to a bar, pub, shop, advice centre, event space and various other essentials at student-friendly prices. It is also where you’ll find your full-time student officers who are elected each year by the student body to run the Union and represent their interests locally and nationally.

The Union at the Cheshire Campus is also home to a dedicated team of student officers and staff offering opportunities and advice as well as a cafe, shops and a lively calendar of events.
