Biography
My name is Beth Jay (she/her) and I am a Graduate Research Assistant, joining the department of Social Care and Social Work in 2020. Since joining Manchester Metropolitan University I have assisted on research exploring the impact of coronavirus on adults with learning disabilities, research evaluating the provision of sexual health services, reproductive services, and of wellbeing services for children and young people in the community.
Alongside this role, I am completing a PhD in the department, exploring emotion work in residential childcare. I am interested in qualitative methods and reflexivity in research.
