Research outputs

My research specialises broadly in health behaviours and body image.  I was awarded my PhD 2021, this research used multi-method qualitative programme of research comprising of three distinct but overlapping qualitative studies aiming to understand the factors that act as facilitators and barriers of E-cigarettes for a diverse range of adult users and non-users. I have special interest in discourse analysis, particularly discursive practices and how people position and present their accounts within wider the societal discourses that surround health behaviours and body image.

I am currently principle investigator on a research project in collaboration with the Manchester Fashion Institute which explores clothing choices in people that have had a mastectomy or other breast-cancer related surgery.
