Visiting and honorary positions

  • Research Assistant at Brown University (summer 2017) in the Cognitive, Linguistic and Psychological Sciences Department (PI: Dr Joo-Hyun Song), primary work: EEG and choice-reaching task. Funded by the Experimental Psychology Society and the University of Birmingham (Student Development Scholarship).

Interests and expertise

Using mainly quantitative methodology, but also confident in and happy to supervise projects with qualitative methodology.

Background in cognitive psychology.

Now doing mainly research in developmental psychology (socio-cognitive development, particularly in relation to culture and socioeconomic status, interest in transmission of intergenerational trauma and more broadly child and adolescent mental health), ED&I topics (particularly related to socioeconomic status, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergence) and belief in conspiracy theories.
