My profile

Biography

I am a lecturer in Psychology and specialise in community and forensic subject areas.

My academic qualifications include a Doctorate of Philosophy, Post-graduate Diploma in Probation Studies, Master of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Community Justice.

Interests and expertise

I lead two undergraduate units - Theories of Crime and Forensic Issues in Psychology.  I am also a Qualitative Research Methods tutor and encourage students to develop dissertation projects that critically examine socially constructed inequalities.

Research outputs

My doctoral thesis used ethnographic approaches to explore co-production in the homelessness sector.  My primary interest was to examine how institutions responded to the critical insights (and policy recommendations) of people who had been excluded from housing.

I have also written about health inequalities among men.
