About my career

I am an entrepreneur, so I don’t like the idea of working for someone else. I like to create things, so I mixed my entrepreneurship skills with engineering to establish my own company that focuses on networking and web services as well as development of cutting-edge technologies in the field of internet of things (IoT) and big data.

The skills that I gained at Manchester Metropolitan that I use most in my career are the ability the look at things differently and the confidence to do things. For example, a lot of people at some point of their life wish there was a particular technology that made a certain area of their life easier. As graduates, we no longer wish but we will be the one to create, invent, or develop the technology to make our life easier.

My company is currently developing cutting-edge technology that will change healthcare and medical emergency forever. The system is a combination of my final year project and another technology that I developed during my time at MMU. The combination of these two projects is a breakthrough technology that can save the lives of thousands of vulnerable patients. Continuing what I started as a student is a great way of developing my skills and knowledge.

My top tip for students

Build your CV from the very first year and update it as you go along. Build a personal blog and update it regularly. Write down your achievements on your blog. Writing about your projects as you go along, with pictures, is a great way of doing it.

Finally, find what you love to do because it is not about finding a job, it is about finding the job you enjoy and love. Studying Computer and Network Technology gives you the freedom to choose from a large selection of jobs. From AI, big data, server and network management, IoT design, programming, game development, long range communication and satellites, and anything to do with the world of IT. The choice is yours so pick your projects accordingly.

I’m inspired by

There is something that keeps me going no matter how hard life gets. My dedication to be the greatest serial entrepreneur; to invent and to create technologies that sound like dreams.
