ABOUT MY CAREER

I am originally from Greece but the thought of studying and living abroad excited me. I chose Manchester for its bright past, but even brighter future in business and technology – not for the so bright weather!

Graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University equipped me with the skills and knowledge to evolve my career. I joined BT as a Project Manager. This role involved me in several projects where I helped clients to shape and deliver their digital strategies and objectives. My passion for digital transformation, however, steered me towards taking an active role in driving transformation across the business. I took on the role of the Business Analyst where I was responsible to elicit and define business requirements and translate those to deliverables, so that the business transforms technologically, as well as culturally and behaviourally.

After four brilliant years, the time was right to pursue the next chapter in my career. My passion for business, technology and consulting, as well as my experience, empowered me to join Capgemini as a Business Analyst. My role is in helping clients realise their digital transformation objectives towards gaining a competitive advantage in a rapidly changing and competitive environment. My role is multi-faceted and requires me to employ a range of skills to be successful. Subjects such as Global Strategy, Organisational Behaviour and Consulting, equipped me with all the relevant skills and knowledge to become competent and build my career.

I have also pursued opportunities for continuous learning, a key factor towards building my career. The ways we work are changing due to various reasons, therefore adopting agile methodologies to become more efficient and effective in our work is key. I am therefore a Certified Scrum Master and a Certified Scaled Agilist in order to be able to respond to this demand.

MY TOP TIP FOR STUDENTS IS

Whilst studying, keep up to speed with what is happening in the world of business. Technology is evolving rapidly, accelerating digital transformation and disturbing competition. Whilst applying at various companies, research their values and culture and ensure they align with yours.

WHY I LOVE MANCHESTER MET

I enjoyed everything - from studying, meeting fantastic academics and students from across the globe, as well as the instances of late nights in the beautiful city of Manchester. Its people and its ethos are second to none.
